Hi all, I own a base model manual 2006 Pontiac vibe. Recently I noticed a rattling coming from the engine bay and it seems to be this arm that extends and retracts when I push in my clutch. When the clutch is engaged the noise goes away, however when disengaged it makes a rattling noise. I attached a picture of the part making the noise and if anyone has any tips or ideas on how to fix I’d appreciate it much. The noise comes from the left side of this arm under the circular rubber covering the metal bar.

Time for a new clutch and throw-out bearing.
