How to install factory remote keyless entry (RKE) system?

Post by cupcakes »

The subject:

2004 Pontiac Vibe (base)
- manual locks
- manual windows
- no sun/moon roof

Goal: Install factory remote keyless entry system into this car.

My current understanding of all that's involved:

- install power door lock actuators x4
(optionally install power door actuator for hatch)
- install power lock switch control panel (driver side door)
- install the RKE receiver (factory location would be C pillar on right side)
- install the relay integration module on the junction box (under steering wheel area)

Currently when i look at the junction box, I do not have the relay integration module, which makes sense since I do not have power locks or windows.

Open question A: Where I have marked 'A' in pink, would my Vibe (base trim with manual everything) come pre-wired with the connector that goes into the 'A' ? Or would I need to go out and get the connector and splice the wires from harness to populate this connector?

The connector that goes into A:

Open question B: Does anyone know if my Vibe would come pre-wired (with connectors) for power door actuators?
