Hood release cable

I'm having a hard time finding a hood release cable for my 2007 Vibe.

Besides a Matrix, will any other car cable work?

Or do you know a shite that has a cable for a 2007 Vibe? I'm in Canada but frequently order from the US.

Cable stretched and rusted on my wife's first generations 2004 Pontiac Vibe. The OE GM part was over $50, and is identical to this cable. First generation Vibes were from 2002-2008, so it should fit all those years. Facelifted cars in 2009 and up may use a different cable.

This will also fit a first generation Toyota Matrix from 2002-2008 as they share an identical platform.

sorry for the ambiguity, but I've never replaced one, so can't say first hand that the amazon item will work or how hard it is to replace. I was only passing along a link I found that claims to be a hood release cable that will work in a Vibe
