Need part number for 03 CV Axle Seals

Post by chrispbacon »

Hi there.

I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe 2-wheel drive.

I am getting the CV Axles replaced with new ones and was advised to get the CV Axle seals also replaced.

I've called around everywhere and searched online but I can't find it. Can someone please help?

Thanks.

You want to confirm this info for yourself before you spend money

one of the online GM parts websites is
https://www.gmpartsgiant.com/oem-pontia ... &filter=()
(I have never used them)

It lists different axle seals, depending on transmission, with RPO codes. for a 2003 two wheel drive, the following RPO codes are applicable
LNK - 2ZZ engine (GT)
LV6 - 1ZZ engine (base/awd)

MK5 - 5-speed manual tranny (also MM5)
MU4 - 4 speed auto tranny
MTN 6 speed manual (GT) (also MN6)

So, according to that web page,
if you have a GT or a base 5 speed manual you'd need
- 19205385 Drivers side
- 19205389 Passenger side

If you have a base with automatic tranny, you'd need
- 88972075 Drivers side
- 94859762 Passenger Side

That website lists the ones for the auto tranny as discontinued parts, but today I see ebay listings for each of those two.
I didn't look for equivalent Toyota Matrix parts, but they may be less expensive if you can identify the toyota part numbers
