Stereo doesn't turn on

I started a speaker swap project. KENWOOD KFC-1666R Road Series Car Speakers. After I installed 1 speaker and tested it and it worked fine. I tried testing it again and the stereo wouldn't turn on. I drove around with the door panel off for a week until I received more door panel pins. Are there fuses inside the head unit that I may have shorted? I still haven't put on the 2nd speaker on the other door yet. :? Appreciate any advice!
I have an old receiver that I was going to replace the stock receiver with, so I'm hoping that will resolve the issue.

Now my car battery is draining from something. I guess I'll disconnect the new speaker and see if that is draining the battery. Or I may just take it to the professionals like I should have!

There's zero chance a speaker is drawing power to kill your battery.
