Blower motor electrical connection stuck!

Post by 1zzLover »

Looking for advice on removing a stuck electrical connector to the blower motor.

The blower motor went out on my 07 Vibe last night, I picked up a new one this morning and have been trying to replace it for the past 3 hours. Everything came out easily, except the power connection.

I have tried as much brute force as I can apply in the tight space behind the glove box, I tried using a screwdriver to push the tab as I pull, and I tried hitting it with PB blaster to no success.

I’ve thought about cutting the wires so I can try to remove the connector with the motor removed from the housing, but I’m not that confident in my splicing skills with the small amount of available wiring and space to work with.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

If it's stuck, it's probably melted or burnt. I'd say cut it and splice in a new pigtail.
