Power steering pump install

Hey folks,

Working on my DIL's 2003 Vibe Base. Had to replace the timing cover due to the drive belt separating and hiding behind the crank pulley until it sanded down the timing cover and produced a hole. I have most of the car back together, but have run into a snag. I didn't realize I needed to move the pins for the power steering pump and now I can't get it back in. Is there any tips or tricks to make this happen? I really don't want to have to reverse my work just to get those pins/ dowels to move. Thanks!

John

Well, figured it out. If you are ever in this position, grab a 3" full threaded bolt, some fender washers, the corresponding nut and a 17 mm socket. It moves them with ease. Everything is almost put together, just waiting on a couple of parts to come in.
