My shifter cable broke. I have only 1 gear. I am having a difficult time finding the parts. There are two cables and associated parts. Does anyone have a source in Canada or a part number. I am coming up empty on all my searches the dreaded "discontinued". Will a Toyota part work?

Monkeywrench Racing shows that the same shifter cables work for all first generation Matrix/Vibe with the manual transmission.

Don't know if that's actually true, but I've ordered some small parts from MWR before and been satisfied with the products and service I received.

They have the shifter cable pair on their website but it doesn't say if it is in stock and it is $535 plus shipping.

yes i found moneywrench as well. A bit pricey but I dont have much choice or my great little Vibe is dead forever.

I cant find anything else. It is good to know ....I hope they ship to Canada.

Just curious, does Canada have automobile junk/salvage yards?

I've had good luck finding cheap used parts at the ones near me.
