I need to cart a couple pieces of foam board insulation from store to home. I don't see any obvious way to tie the door down safely. An ideas?

When I hauled a couch with my Vibe the guy a the store fished twine through the latch. I'm not sure how he did it, but maybe someone at the store will know.

heh. i knew that...didn't notice OP had an 09.

depending how far you're going, you are probably fine not worrying about tying it down..just tie your cargo down.

I'm thinking maybe I tie a nylon rope to the rear passenger door handle, bring it up over the rear door, loop it around the windshield wiper post, then tie off the other end onto the other rear passenger door handle. How's that sound? :)

Well, if you ever need to tie the rear door down, my last post method worked fine. Didn't take it on the freeway, just around town. Be ready for a big dose of exhaust fumes.
