Im at 277K and have been calculating my oil consumption. Looks like im burning just under 1 QT for every 2000 miles. How you guys doing in that area ? Seems like im in the "safe" zone, from what I understand 1 QT every 1500 miles is the acceptable limit. I was hoping for less but what can you do ?

Those numbers seem right on. I was at 1.5-2 quarts burned in between every oil change (5,000 miles). I've stopped calculating both oil consumption and gas mileage since I know I'm going to run this car into the ground as best as possible and I am still waiting for that next perfect car to come along to get me through the last of the ICE years and on to the EV years. What I don't quite understand is how our catalytic converters can withstand all this extra soot?

I am at 235k and burning 1 quart every 1,000 miles. Other than that, it runs like a champ...

My brother has 320k or so. He burns a lot of oil. Not sure much, but it's a ton lol.

My old 03 GT didn't burn any oil when I sold it at 285k or so.

The rest of our cars are under 200k, so no oil burning.
