I need to glue the trim which is coming loose, By trim I mean the stuff that's under the doors and over the fenders on the exterior body. I need to glue it to the metal and some glues don't work on some plastics. Anybody know what kind of plastic that stuff is?

There are retaining clips that hold the plastic over fender and plastic to the doors.

It would be better to remove the plastic, then install new clips.

thanks. Any idea what kind of plastic it is? Polyethylene, polypropylene. polystyrene, pvc? Those clips are $18 for 50, $9 for 25, I just need one, perfectly happy to glue.

Your auto parts store sells trim tape, which should be used along with new clips.

if you have a spare clip I'll send you the money to send it to me. It will certainly cost less than buying a bag of 25 clips.

go to your local parts store. they will have a little package of like 4 for $5.
