How in the hell do you press them in?

Even if you bend the tabs, the metal is in the way plus you have to get pressure on the outside edge...

And just to be clear, the conical shape faces big-side down/inside with the spring that's in the seal facing up/out when pressed in, correct? Because if so, you have 1mm of edge to strike with whatever to seat them and I'm at a loss.

It was a real PITA to do this on a 2013 Prius.
In the end, the trick for me was, I kept trying DIFFERENT AFTERMARKET tube seals (Fel-Pro, etc).
Then one brand fit perfectly (because it was a tad smaller than the original).
For the life of me, could not press them in with a hammer or mini press (giant washers and a bolt with nut).
