Hi everyone! I recently purchased my second vibe a 2009 with only 100000 kms on it. It has the factory racks which are basically useless and am having a hard time to say the least finding racks as Thule, Rhino Rack etc has discontinued the fit kits for these. Thule`s fit kit is 1512 and Rhino`s is DK185. would anyone know where I could find these new or most likely used? The only other option is to get custom racks starting at over $1000.00 from Rack Attack. I spoke to a gentlemen at Rack Attack here in Ontario Canada and he told me to start looking on Kijiji, Amazon etc but no luck yet? Any info would be awesome! Thanks and have a great day!

I had a similar issue with my '98 Subaru. I wanted to put my Thule rack bars on but didn't want to double the value of the car doing it. I ended up carefully drilling through bars and rails and used carriage bolts and wingnuts. I considered doing the same for the Vibe (but don't have to), and noticed it has much less clearance for hardware, but it may work if needed.

Thanks for the info but the car is in such good shape with low kms I`d hate to resort to that. I`m hoping that someone out in vibe land will have a set or the fit kit?

A google search for Thule fit kit 1512 turned up a couple places that say they have it

probably a good idea to verify they have it in stock before ordering the first two links show very low stock,

I can't verify a 1512 fits the car, or what else you might need
