any air that gets in should work its way through the system and end up at the top of the radiator, and then theoretically that air would be replaced automatically from the coolant reservoir over various heat up and cool down cycles. No need to bleed.

Thanks for the advice! I'm thinking I'm going to clean the iacv while I'm at it. Cleaned it again last week and jammed a vacuum line cap I had laying around into each hose. Got the caps at AutoZone, I think these were what I bought.
