Just curious, will a gt cluster function properly in a base vibe? Has anyone tried this?

It won't function 110% correctly. IIRC, a few of the gauges may not work properly.

You also wouldn't technically gain anything-- it wouldn't raise the redline/speed, etc.

The biggest things are the 03/04 clusters are interchangeable amongst like models... IE: an 03 GT cluster can go into an 04 GT and vice versa. Same w/FWD and AWD.

The 05+ clusters are different electronically than the 03/04 and won't work in those years. IMHO, the 03 GT has the best cluster with the red gauges. My 04 GT has the white gauges and I loathe it.

Thanks for the info, zbyers. As my 04 also nears the 300,000 mile mark, I'm thinking about having another cluster rebuilt & ready to take over at that point. I just thought it might be cool to have the 140mph speedometer. I have 2 04 base parts cars & already have 1 cluster removed, so I'll just go with one of them. Thanks again!

There is a member on our Facebook page who can flash the clusters back to zero.

Awesome! How do I contact them? I don't do Facebook yet but my wife does.

Have her join the Facebook group (link is in my signature). Once she's in, just make a post asking who can reprogram the cluster... You will likely have a 4-5 people instantly comment the couple names who can. lol
