Hello AllI have searched the forum, but this topic seems to have died out 4 or 5 months ago.Does anyone have any info about the status of the Blitz supercharger for the 2ZZ-GE? I've read a number of posts from up to a year ago that said Blitz would have it available in a few months. Their website - www.blitz-na.com - still says "TBA" Horsecrap . I want a timeframe!Anyone have any shred of info? In the mean time Blitz seems to be the closest company to having a viable SC for the GT and XRS, seeing as they have one in production for the 2ZZ-GE in the Celica. Let's show these people we mean business.Everyone who really wants a 2ZZ-GE Supercharger email Blitz at info@blitz-na.com Tell them you are interested and want details, like when is it going to be out and what is the cost, and how about compatibility to the Vibe GT (ECU etc.)Those of you with base models or those of you don't want to supercharge your XRS or GT , be cool. You email them too and help us out. When they know that there is interest, hopefully they will get their @sses in gear.PeaceJason

Mail has been sent!_________________I am an owner of a 2ZZ-GE Vibe GT. There's been some info flying around about a surpercharger for the 2ZZ. There's quite a few folks interested in this application, especially with the Lotus Elise coming to the U.S., which is sporting the 2ZZ-GE powerplant. I hope reasearch is going well and product development will continue to excellerate! Do you have a time frame when the project will be complete? Thanks for all your hard work, interest, and continuing service to car enthusiasts! Brad Wolf

Why is it not interchangeable? It is the ecu for one thing..they are different..so what ever fuel management they use would not apply, unles it is standalone, or mechanical like Stafford Fabrication's is..also the engin bays are different, and the blitz kit has an intercooler..so it would fit differently....but on a good note, I can tell ya if blitz falls thru....Stafford Fabrication is goin to have some love coming the 2zz's way

Yes, ditto to above. But I don't think different engine bays are the only problem. Does anyone know what the compression ratio is in the Celica application? As you are probably aware, the 11.5 compression ratio in the GT and the XRS is extremely high (this is why we must run premium fuel) Running boost with this sort of compression is risky at best. The concept of having a bolt-on supercharger for our cars without changing any stock internals is tricky if not nearly impossible.Still no response from Blitz....

the celica gt has the 1zz motor, and the celica gt-s has the 2zz motor w/ the 11.5:1 compression ratio....the shorter stroke , wider bore in the 2zz , also raised pre-detonation issues....but the real star of this motor is in the head , and it can make real good power at low boost,
