Anyone else following the fire situation in BC... I have to cause I live here and just spent a week in the interiour. I rained ash on us for a day and the smoke was thick like fog every day.... I fell realy bad for all the people who have lost homes etc in the fire. Hope we get rain soon to help them out.

In my opinion, grass fires and wildland fires are natures way of getting rid of the trash. The overgrown underbrush needs to be cleared out to make way for a more healthy environment. It's been going on long before the dinosaurs and man is not (and should not) going to control it.As for peoples home's being lost, I feel bad. But, they should know that things like this happen when you live out in the forest's and country before the moved or build homes there and should have enough insurance to be able to rebuild.Grass, brush, and wildland fires are about the hardest to put out cause you have to carry all your resources in with you and it's the most exhaustive work you can do. This year we lost our neighboring town's fire Chief due to a heart attack while fighting a marsh fire, trying to save dead underbrush.
