Hellas installed and sounding good.

My father and I installed my Hella horns today. Not as loud as I invisioned, not that they aren't loud, but they are 100% better than the stock horns. My Grandmother was over at my Dad's house and she wanted to hear them. So she went out to the garage and opened the door and pressed the horn button. She almost dropped her lap dog that she was holding and almost got a cuncussion from the roof because she jumped so high. After my dad and I could hear again we had a pretty good laugh.

i remember when i installed mine. i had a female friend with me and i was kinda bragging about my new horns. she really didnt care and blew it off. i told her to go stand in front of the car. we happened to be in a grocery store parking lot. she stood there and i laid on the hella's. she screamed......lol. it was classic

Yep, these Hellas are great! With how they are mounted on the Vibe as well, the sound just reflects off of all surfaces in front of you, and EVERYONE can hear them who are around, it's awesome

The thing I love about the Hellas is the way they project the sound in front of you. No wasted sound going all over the place, all that noise is directed right at the person you are honking at. I have only had to use them once while driving. Almost made the girl who was on her cell phone (removed) herself! LOL! It was great!

I was wondering if the install guide for these horns is available yet, and also, does anyone from Canada know where these can be ordered or picked up from as the listed online stores in other discussions are South of the border, or do any of those ship north? Thanks

Yea, sorry I had to take it down for the time being, I can put it up on request though, but if you can take care of it Nick, that would be great :DI only have ~100megs of space allowed for my website, so I had to get rid of a few things for a system backup while transferring files

Boy nobody would miss me honking my horn when they try to back into me ever again if I got one of those! LOLThe first time I had to honk my horn for some lady in a Honda who was playing with her car at the red light and started rolling backward and getting a little too close for comfort, I thought "geez the horn is kinda puny on this thing." I would never think that again with some Hellas, eh? How much are those suckers?

Cheaper than I thought it would be...how hard is it to install?I've left my baby absolute stock for a year now...been wanting some graphics and a nice set of wheels...that may be my next-summer project for my internship money.

Dad and I shouldn't have a problem then. Just finding the time when he's not at work would be the issue. Thanks

Hella walkthrough available here:
http://www.ragingfish.com/genvibe/howto ... stall.pdfI recommend purchasing your horns from Griot's Garage. You pay more up front, but if anything goes wrong with them...ever...they will replace them, repair them (unlikely), or refund your money...

quote:They are available at almost any automobile performance parts store. I checked last March but decided to not get them because of the price.... the set was 125$ CAN.... a bit expensive for a horn (in my opinion!)Great, now I just have find a specialty store and Thanks for the quote, its nice to know a rough cost.
