So, anyone wanna help me put in one? I have no idea what I'm doing and would love the help. Want to get a 2 stage so I don't have issues with any water. I think they make them to fit the Vibe. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?Dave

Not familiar wtih any 2 stage models for the Vibe.Regardless, if you were closer, I'd offer to help no problem. Sorry I can't.

OK, I may be totally wron'g but I read somewhere on here where there was. I'm not sure who it's by so I will have to do a lot of searching before hand. I may be calling it wron'g but it was one where if there happened to be too much water at the filter, it closed that part off then opened a different valve nearer to the place of a short intake. Am I imagining things? I tried searching on here for the posts but haven't searched enough yet.Dave

That would be the AEM bypass valve. The AEM intakes available for the Vibe are not compatible with it. You could buy one and splice the diverter valve into it. That might be a bit tricky though to get it to all line up after such a modification. The only other option would be to see if K&N has one of their CAI kits available yet. They make a kit that is convertible from CAI to Short-Ram. However I've seen nothing for our application so far, just wanted to give you something to think about.

Ok everyone worries about hydrolocking. This summer in nj theres been a few REALLY bad rainstorms where it was like driving in a pool outside, lol. Accidentally i even went through a few deep puddles. I would not worry about it at all unless the whole filter is submerged under water.

im with dmitri. i drive on the highway every day, and recently there was a lot of water on the highway. i hit a puddle once that was so deep, it sprayed at least 10ft in the air. no probs afterwards.

I completely agree. I mean, look how high off the ground the filter is being above the fog light. That would be like crossing a stream. I don't think we need to worry much.
