Today on the way to work construction had my friends and I stopped for like 30 minutes and we were running really late. So I decided to cut through a school parking lot, but the parking lot didnt go all the way through...there was a median between the two lots. Sooooooooo heres the stupid idea that SOMEHOW made its way into my head, "hey why dont i drive over the curb!" the curb was only like 3 inches high on the front and I knew I'd clear it...so i drive over the grass and into the otehr parking lot and i here this bang as my rear wheels drop off the other side of the curb..which by the way was like 8 inches on the other side! so i stopped to view what the noise was, and I see my muffler and tailpipe drooping down and the two plastic brackets holding on the rear bumper snapped...the exhaust was fine except for a tiny dent i the tip, the little rubber band thing came off thats all...but I was more concerned about my rescently installed uderbody, but the was fine as well Never again will I do bold/daring things in my baby -=Paul=-

I have $1200 I may spend on lieka '91 Cherokee and re-inforce it with a roll cage, so when ever I feel like it while I m driving I can just turn real hard and flip it on purpose and then flip it back ad keep driving....Wouldn't that be fun??? You're driving on the highway alone and go like 90 and turna nd hit the parking brake and try to get it to flip? Obviously you would need some sturdy hardnesses and reinforced chassis and stuff but....

I could do much more with $1200 than to use to roll a car. I've heard the early Cherokee's can catch fire or explode when rolled or crashed...

My 89 Bonneville was a rock. No major problems with it in the 12 years we had it...

i used to go 4x4ing in my Tundra all the time. had tons of fun mudding. one time, i ran over this big log. always running over things in my truck. had a huge guauge (spelling?) in the front skid plate. glad it was there. still, was a lot of fun. sure do miss my tundra....

I used to do that stuff with my '79 chevy malibu all the time. That thing was a tank. The best one was when I drove through a foot deep ten feet wide washout spot on a dirt road to get to a party.

LOL, Believe me! I was saying all sorts of stuff at myself when it happened...That was probably one of the stupidest things I've done, I could have atleast gotten out to see how high the second curb was. Well now I know, right?

I had a '79 Malibu too! It was my first car, bought it with my own money. Some old lady owned it and only drove it to church...it had like 60,000 miles on it or something and was older than me. I ran over a street sign in it and only got a small dent on the chrome detailing around the right front wheel. LOL

i knew a kid who had a monte - mid '80s model, he used to run over metal street signs on purpose, didnt cause a bit of damage and any of it, including the bumper

We did pretty much the same thing in our Cavalier. The problem was it was in a shopping mall parking lot and it curved down in one spot, like it was a driveway. So we drove over because the curb at that point was basically at road level. Then we found out that the other side was about 4 or 5 inches higher! Now I see that they've put a sign there with a no car symbol on it. Guess we weren't the only ones to think it was a driveable area.

I'm not a big fan of chrome, especially on wheels, I hate any wheel bigger than 19" on anything other than a truck that has tires atleast 3 inches bgger than the wheel...i like those black wheels that white vibe has on the home page at the ohio meet. LOL man dawg I jus bought twenee fo's fo ma navigatah...."hey man wanna go offroading? OH WAIT YOU CANT BECAUSE YOU'VE ONLY GOT A HALF AN INCH OF TIRE!!!!!!!!" so very anoying -=Paul=-
