2009 parking brake cable

I'm trying to find a replacement cable for the passenger/right hand side. OEM number is supposed to be 19184307. 1.8L base manual 5 speed, 206K in Vermont. I've got mine off the car and have it hanging trying to get a light weight oil to run down it and free it up. It is much better but I'm not sure I trust it. It hung up the other day and the brake/wheel got really hot. The caliper spring is working fine (the caliper isn't that old, although it is a rebuilt one). It just won't quite pull back to the rest position. I've searched a lot and I'm not sure if the 2.4L would work. The picture looks the same and one GM parts supplier calls for the same 19184305 for both the base 1.8L and base 2.4L. I couldn't find the length though.
The 2009 Matrix looks the same in the drawing but I'm not sure if that would fit either?
Thanks, Tom

Have you tried looking under a Matrix? sometimes it is available under a matrix instead of a Vibe.

Hi,
Yes I have looked at the matrix parking brake cables but not sure if they are close to the same length. I was hoping somebody else had tried one.

The matrix cables should be identical to the vibe.

Update. Ordered a Raybestos cable from Rock Auto. They had the measurements which are exactly the same as my OEM. Apparently 1.8L and 2.4L are different as well as the manual and automatic transmission. Will post results after installing.

I just finished the install. The Raybestos was a perfect fit. Happy camper.

@butternutaud I have a 2009 AWD pontiac vibe. I was checking to see what part numbers you used for your parking brake cable as well. Im not sure if the toyota matrix cables are indeed the same. Thanks!

I purchased and installed RAYBESTOS BC97348 and it fit fine (little bit short on the handle end). I would suggest others try the slightly longer RAYBESTOS BC97354 and report back.
