Need new engine mod.

Well, after getting beat (read the story in the racing forum) i think its time for a new mod. I'm considering nitrous, or the APEXi SAFC controller. I think the safc will add about 7hp and i can crank it making it run richer when i need it too. Anyone do this? With nitrous you think ill get mid 14s?

With nitrous, the only limit is whatever's the weakest link, dmitri: clutch, crank, pistons, block... I'd think that ~60 HP worth would be about as much as an all stock powertrain could handle, maybe less for the clutch. If you could hook it up, should be close to 14s. Anyone got one of thoe Moroso performance -predicting slide rules, or a 1/4 mile computer program?

nah i decided im not gonna do nitrous lol i want to put nitrous in my malibu forget my vibe...BUT i might get the SAFC because my friend totaled his celica and has a brand new one he never put in.

no nitrous? your loss!! anyway ive been reading up on the safc on the celica boards seems unless you have mods that throw off your fuel map the stock ecu will overwrite changes made bythe safc. mabey the vibe is different since it does work on new mr2s mabey you can be the guiea pigs although you really need a dyno to confirm stuff like that. mabey pulleys or something
