My Time to Say Goodbye

It’s my time to say farewell to GenVibe. I gave my ’09 GT to my daughter, who has joined the forum as Skylark. So it’s not goodbye to this Vibe!

I just want to say that it has been a real pleasure to participate in this forum – I learned a great deal about my Vibe, and the members are so nice and courteous! I have read and posted on several internet forums, and there are VERY few others like this one. Thanks!

Geoff

Keeping it in the family .................. Nice ;) Hopefully she takes care of it just as well as you did. If you two are living close to each other then I'm sure you'll coach her in the right direction when it comes to repairs & maintenance. Have her get involved here over the upcoming years. Like you mentioned, this is one of the best "non-drama" forums out there when it comes to automobiles and we all want to help each other out. For kicks I'm posting a nice pic some 8.5 years ago where we all got together in Indy! Keep in touch .................... Tim

It sounds like you won't be completely gone. Just at one remove (mostly).

It's always sad to leave a group, for whatever reason - but enjoy your replacement vehicle!

Welcome Skylark!

Geoff, it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife and seeing the Vibe in person in Indy in 2010! Take care and don't be a stranger!

P.S., sort of a random question here, but how have the Vibe door sill plates held up over the years? I'd kind of like to get some, but I'm wondering if they get scratched/beat up easily. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Carrie!

The door sill plates didn’t have a mark on them when I turned it over. They are pretty rugged.
