hello
thank you for the add. i just purchased a 2004 vibe red, 119xxx. it replaced a deer destroyed 2010 HHR.
a few of the questions i have are this:
1- anything i need to be overly concerned with? i got a carfax with the car and everything looked good.
2- i really want to have XM in the car, what are some of my options? (other cars have factory built in
3- also anyway to add an aux port?
4- which headlight restore works the best?
thank you in advance for any help

Welcome to GenVibe

From an HHR to a Vibe ..... enjoy the improved BETTER visibility! 2004 did not offer satellite radio and not sure if there's a feasible option to use with the stock radio. Same with aux port, not sure there. I have no experience with lens polishing as my vibe is garaged and still looks brand new.

Any of the boxed kits at the parts stores work well for restoring the headlights. the important part is the finishing with the polish/clear coat to give it a nice seal and keep them looking good for a while.
Best bet if you want aux/XM is to throw in a new stereo with those capabilities. There SHOULD be a plug in the passenger rear cubby tail light hole that an OEM XM antenna could plug into, but you'd still need a compatible radio and to find the XM antenna.
Concerns, just watch for rust depending on your location. If maintenance is unknown, I'd do some simple tune up things, plugs, new oil, valve cover gasket, timing chain tensioner o-ring (very prone to leaking), new air filter, check tire pressure, etc.
Welcome to the group. Post some pics and let us know where you're from!

If you're handy with a soldering iron, patch an aux input into the main amp at the cd input path, then record tracks of silence on a CD. Play the Cd and feed your aux port.
