If you know the CCA rating of the new battery, it will tell you if it was stronger than the stock one...I believe stock is 310...

And chance to AC Delco to do a so lottle battery is very thing. i took a look to the AC Delco web site and as for a battery remplacement on a Pontiac Vibe and they gave me battery model 35-6YR, 450 CCA.

quote:Also, there is going to be a TSB out in the future for the Vibe's battery to be replaced for a higher CCA one. The TSB will affect the owners that live in a Cold Climate Area. Nick or I will keep everyone advised when then TSB is out. So... is there any TSB yet?Cold weather is arrived and it seems that it's harder to start in the morning now!!! Realy different during summer. Hope to see TSB soon about this. When I visited GM dealer recently I've seen under new Chevy Aveo hood a 450CCA... so, why not under our hood???

I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to see if they will replace my Conti tires and while I'm at it I'm going to see if I can get a battery too. I'm not asking too much am I?

I'd focus on the tires for now, Sunny. The longer you wait on the battery, the more negative publicity GM will have had to induce them to step up to something decent.

Just called my dealer, and Service Manager never heard of it (battery problem - hard to start on cold temperature) and of course nothing about any TSB concerning that. He said, leave us the car and will check on cold morning what's going on. Then I called 1-800GM service, and also said: "first time I heard about battery for Vibe". !!! Am I the first one to complain in Canada to 1-800GM about this problem? There is no TSB (called "voicemail" by GM network) for battery she said.
