I have a abyss vibe gt and am going in to get the tint. Which is the best percent for my car? 15% or 20% i'm not real sure. I want dark, just not limo.

20% stock? i thot it was like 30 or 35%? i checked with my state and legal limits for me is 40% rear and 70% front. so I went with 35% rear and 50% front. i kinda wish i had them a little darker, but my friend's hubby is APD and my neighbor too. they both told me they wouldn't bother me w/ what i have. any darker and I'd be a definite target.

I agree with TRDvibe, 35% is stock. That's what my minivan came with and what I put on the Vibe. However, 20% is nice but check yout local and state laws first.

I went with 5% on my rear windows and 35% on my fronts. Any tint on the front windows is illegal in Michigan, but with the difference in the tint, it's hard to tell that my fronts are tinted that dark. This picture makes my tint look pretty dark though. Take a look.

HEre is a before and after pictures of my Vibe with tinted windows. I went with 5% in the back. In CA its illegal tohave any tint in the front, so I played it safe and didn't put any on.http://community.webshots.com/photo/335 ... 5900GKqjyC

im not satisfied w/my 20% at all. i had 5 on my cavi, it was much better. on a sunny day, you can see right through the back windshield from behind.

Thanks guys, i think i will gor for 15% all around then. i take it 5% is the darkest then right? 20% is lighter, and 5% will be too much.

Triton, do you mean 7 windows? And yes i was going for 15%, do you think i should go for 20% for the fronts, and 15% for the rest and the back?

i would go fairly light - 35% or so on the front. the more windows you have tinted, the darker all of the tint looks.

Hi everyone just thought I would give my 2 cents worth my front driver/pass windows are 15% and my rear and tailgate are 35%.now. I assume that means 15% and 35% of the light is blocked all i know is they are dark

He said that in Ontario you aren't allowed to do anything to the windshield, that the legal maximum for the driver's and passenger's door is 35% light transmission (smaller number is darker) and that the rest you can do with what you want. I went with 35% front and "medium" (20%, I think) for the rest. It looks, as NovaResource said, about like a typical SUV/minivan tint and I'm happy with the exterior appearance and the interior visibilty. PS: Hey, trdvibe! Does this mean that you're entitled to "senior moments" now too?

Just had our abyss tinted 15%. Here's a photo but it was raining at the time. In Illinois you cannot legally tint the front door windows.

Just got home with the Vibe after having 20% smoke LLumar all around and it looks fantastic! Dark but not too dark and very tasteful. Now off to wash the car after they got all their solution all over it
