2003 Vibe. Just started happening last night.

All 3 pods are illuminated as usual, but when headlights are turned on, illumination ceases (dials go dark, as well as the radio). Not all indicators are out; turn signals, cruise, high beams and others work, but the dials (speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer) themselves are dark.

Any idea on what the cause is and how to fix this? Thanks.

There is a dash light brightness adjustment dail on your left hand side. Next to the hatch glass release button. If someone accidentally change it to all off, the dash light turns completely off when the auto headlight turns on.
