09 AWD Vibe starting problems

I have a 09 AWD Vibe with around 96,000 miles on it. I have never had any problems with it starting until Friday. It started up just fine and I drove it about 10 minutes and pulled into a driveway turned it completely off and tried to restart it less than 1 minute. It sounded like it was trying to start up just like regular but would not turn over. It was not the battery. The battery is about a year old. It tried to start is many times till the battery did wore down. (I had tuned off the radio, heater etc.) I called Onstar and they sent a tow truck. While waiting for the tow, after about 15 minutes, I tried to start it again and it started right up repeatedly. The dealership still recommended I have it taken in, as it is still under extended warranty and I don't want to have it happen out somewhere else. They had never heard of anything like that happening.

I have searched this site and not found anything similar sounding problems, does anyone here have any ideas.

Thanks!

I had a Toyota Corrola in college that had this exact symptom (refusing to start after multiple tries and then starting after waiting awhile) and it turned out to be a bad O2 sensor that had messed up something in the system. But I think I had a check engine light for a long time that I ignored (because I was young and stupid...)

Probably best to get it checked out at a garage if you have one you trust, I would think!

A bad fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator?

Where you located ??? (update profile for us). Cold climate, warm climate ??? Resistance and massive temperature swings will mess with your mind AND your Vibe's electrical system. I'd say you have a bad ground that depending on temperature & humidity, goes unnoticed. Curious what the shop finds out if anything.
