Chevy recently announced the 2017 Cruze Hatchback. It has similar specs to the 2nd gen vibe as far as internal space and engine power / fuel economy. And rumor is the 2018 will have Chevy's 4 banger diesel that gets mpg in the 50's.

Just don't like the Cruze tho it's not a bad looking hatchback. Despise GM, however. Diesel option should be an interesting one.

Base is USD $22,115 for the hatchback.

1.4 l turbocharged 4 cylinder. 153 hp @ 5600 and 177 lb.ft. torque @ 2k - 4k (CVT). Automatic is 29 MPG City/ 38 MPG Hwy, Only FWD, though.

I priced one out, LT trim level, with the options I prefer (Convenience, Sun & Sound, Foglights, power bucket seats) for $25,355.

EDIT: Added rpm to hp and torque, specified trim level

I'll story top w/this:

My buddy and I were just looking at 2016 Fiesta STs for under 20k. Can't think of a single new car I'd rather have that can touch that car for that price. What a great little daily. If I needed another new "Vibe" right now, that'd be it. If Toyota would throw their new turbo 4 in the iM, that'd be my new "Vibe" in a second.
