Yeh that were the Brigdestone school is now, some clubs show up on the big weekends and go around the big road course at the lunch break for controled lapping for a small fee. I been there for the corvette clubs weekend and did some controled lapping you get some decent speed up the back straight,Moss corner is a blast!

I think that the idea of renting the track for the day is going to be WAY out of our league. There is however another option. Mosport has lappping days that they put on where you can register and pay by the lap or the hour. (not sure quite how it works.) I have put a call into the guy who looks after events like this and he will let me know how it works and what costs are involved. Please post a message and say if you are interested. I would like to get a real idea of interest before I waste this guys time trying to set something up. I understand that cost and date is a concern, so please let me know if you are interested and I will be able to say less than 10 or more than 30 people.BTW I would assume that it would be a weekday event and cost in the $50 per person range. I was at a few of these before and costs were from $10 - $100.

Me again, I just looked at the cost for Shannonville Race Track which is in Shannonville Ont. Near Belleville. they also have options for track rental. One of which is for an evening. Min 2hours. the cost for that is only $500. Let me know if there is any interest and I can see what arrangements can be made.

What is the Shannonville track like? It's in our price range, but is kinda far. Is that $500 for the 2 hours? The per lap or per hour rental at Mosport may be our best bet, if it doesn't cost too much.

I wish that they had some descent tracks near detroit. I have been trying to take a few test lap at GM proving grounds but I would probably be better off running for President. I used to do some controlled racing in a Porsche club in Illinois. Would take cones to an empty parking lot on the weekends(after getting permission and signing some insurance forms.) Not quite as exciting as a real track though. Something bigger than a 2/10 of a mile would be nice.
