Low oil level (surprise!) and spun a bearing. Where can I get a new short block. Toyota has declined and waiting on GM response to email...

Do I hear crickets in the background?
The wait will be long for this one since GM had nothing to do with manufacturing these engines, Pontiac is gone, and in all truth GM could care less about these cars. They cut that string when they shut down Pontiac. I have never heard of an ISO engine as ISO to me is a set manufacturing standards. A re-manufactured or rebuilt engine with a warranty is about as good as you are going to do.

www.iso.org
"We're ISO, the International Organization for Standardization. We develop and publish International Standards."
That is what I think of when I hear or see ISO.
RockAuto parts has a long block/complete reman engine for $2827.79+$435.00 core listed. Check your local parts store or salvage yard as a lot of the salvage yards sell re-manufactured engines or used ones; what ever fits your price.

Anyone know if I can use a Toyota motor for GM replacement?
