Brake Fluid Flush

What a difference a brake fluid flush makes. I just had mine done for the second time in the 102,000 miles I've owned the car. Both times I have had the job done at Sears, where they do it right. They always flush out all the fluid at each brake until it is clear. I can definitely tell a difference in how smooth my brakes are performing. I have about 35% left on my front brake pads and someday look forward to putting the Akebono pads on when due. I never thought a brake fluid flush could make such a difference, but my brakes are definitely less grabby in city driving and seem to provide smoother pressure when the pedal is depressed. Just thought I'd share........

The brake fluid in both Tercels was 30 years old when I flushed it. One of the head mechanics at this Ford dealership is fervently against the idea brake fluid can absorb water and degrade, as is one of my old bosses.
