I guess I decided to finally put my work on this forum, and thanks for the add. I've owned my vibe since January 2015 and bought her with 47xxx miles and have been active on the genvibe Facebook page since then and are familiar with most genvibe members. I didn't even know what a Pontiac Vibe was until I went to a dealership. I said I was into hatchbacks and wanted something sporty, he then took me to this car and I fell in love. didn't even need to test drive to know this was the car I was bound to get. So far I have loved every bit of this car and I plan to keep the mods coming. The trd supercharger is gonna be a challenge and as far as I know hasn't done done on a vibe yet, I plan to overcome that and be the first to do so. The trd supercharger isn't the most reliable and can be upgraded with better bearing and shaft to improve the life by a great deal, I've already got a parts list and will start buying parts shortly and will start a new thread to show the progress of the installment for others to follow my footsteps since I am always reading about people wanting to boost a 2nd gen Vibe.


Updated mods- added a DC sport header. This eliminates the catilytic converter in the stock exhaust manifold. I got a cel on now and getting a cel eliminator soon. Exhaust is atleast 5x louder than originally, and definitely added more pep to my step but ended up getting a lot of rasp. I am going to had 1-2 resonators in the mid pipe to help lower the rasp. I actually happen to find the header from a Scion tC owner that replaced the header for a turbo setup and bought it for only $50. The price for the part new is $325 for ceramic and $370 for stainless steel. Got an awesome deal for this part(: pics will come later on, as my phone won't upload to this forum due to picture size.

Hey, what did you do to the stock wheels? They look black...

I just dipped them. 7 coats of black and 2 coats of glossifier

Welcome to the "Real" genVibe (not that facebook site ) Nice work so far. Got mixed feelings on the hood though. Anything is better than the plain hood. Where can this Vibe be seen in person?

It was in Nashville a few weeks ago. You could have seen it then! We did miss you there, Tim. I felt like everyone's father!

Yeah. I've had them on for a year now. I did have to replace the drivers side cause I hit a giant raccoon. But other than that, they hold up well. Ive been on the interstate quite a bit traveling about 90 mph and they still held up fine. They are bolted along the factory holes with 2 bolts and then I used small self tapping screws and really secure them in. But if you are lowered and wanna get these, take note, you will scrape. I only have 3.5" of clearance in the front

Was a lot of work. He just cut out flaps in the hood for the vents and pushed them down, then welded little triangles on the sides of the vents and sanded and repaited it

Actually chose to remove it because it was so raspy. Added noticeable power but the rasp was so bad. I'll reinstall the header when I find something to help quiet down the rasp. I heard a 22" glass pack does the trick but until then, no aftermarket header
