Accessory mounting tabs behind grill??

Hi all, I was under the hood doing some maintenance tonight and notices something peculiar. Behind the grill, up high and very close to the grill, I noticed a tab on each side. These tabs are horizontal with a hole in the middle, looks like a 5mm bolt would fit the hole. The tabs are space about the width of the radiator. Any idea what these are for? A piece of light angle iron could connect them to help hold up an aftermarket trans cooler.
