rotor dust shield broke off

So I just heard a loud scraping noise while driving (2009 base vibe), and upon inspection I found that one of the rear rotor dust shields broke off and was knocking around inside the wheel. I was able to pull it out and that stopped the noise.

Any idea how involved it would be to replace this? Or can I just live without it? I saw on another thread that it is a difficult job (at least for the front wheels). Would the rear be any simpler? The rear passenger side dust shield looks like its about to break off as well...

Although I have no Gen2 experience, I'm guessing dust shield replacement on REAR wheels is fairly simple. I'm also guessing that running the car without REAR dust shields isn't a big deal. Obviously, they should be repaired/replaced as soon as practical but I wouldn't lose any sleep.
