A/C is always on despite HVAC button is off!

Searched all over with nothing similar. The A/C clutch is engaged and the fan is always running whether the button is on or off. If I pull the A/C MAG relay, the clutch disengages but the fan keeps going. If I disconnect the wires to the button, it still runs.
Is there another relay that could be faulty? Or something else? Any ideas would be great so I can get some MPGs back.

Chiadog is right. If it's set to defrost the compressor will be running.

I do know it. I just didn't notice the selector switch was set to it...and I'm an idiot. Thanks.
