I think it looks like Toyota is trying to smooth out the Lexus grille. It still hurts my eyes though.

Grill just looks likes it missing something. They had some neat angles and body lines around the headlights.... then at the grill they ran out of gas. Lunch time, quick, just sketch in a black plastic grate. Its trending right now among many manufacturers, maybe after lunch they will fill in the missing space,... with an inter cooler for an upcoming turbo option!
