Dont' cry "russ" it's worst here upper north with more snow and salt on road during winter. Protect to last is the best way to keep it well. I use Meguire's Gold Class Liquid Wax and have great result. How about rustproofing before first winter!

Everything but Krown does more harm than good. Oil spray traps moisture and causes rust. No drip oil spray is absolutely useless. Undercoatings look great, but underneath all that coating, bad things are happening. Trapped moisture = rust. If it doesn't drip it's not worth a ship. Trust me on this one. Not sure if it's even available south of the border. If Krown is not available, I'm sure there's something similar for American vehicles.

100 bucks a year to squirt WD40 all over the car? ;-)

quote:100 bucks a year to squirt WD40 all over the car? ;-)Of course, at first it looks expensive (for more than WD40 afterall!! ) but look on the other side. Let say $100/yr for 10-15 years... then (without rustproofing) paint job after 10-15 years cost may be more or less than $1000-1500 and your car looks rusty and old. Now with annual rustproofing, no need for paint AND worth more if you sale the car treated vs non-treated ! Depending if the intention is to keep the car for long time or not it worth the money, I guess, and there's no need to do it every year, say after 5 year in a row I'll go for it every 2 years, like I did with my old Nissan Axxess '91 and it still looks fine.

I don't know about that stuff. Looks intrusive. Drilling more holes in the car to apply stuff. I guess cause it's different it is hard to accept. To each his own
