Engine Code P060E (Lights on Dash: VSC + Traction + Check Engine) for 2009 Pontiac Vibe 1.8L

Hi everyone,

I have a question I am hoping someone may be able to assist with. Ever so often my VSC+Traction+Check Engine light comes on. The car would suffer performance loss and it would take me several attempts at restarting and moving. I checked the code and it was P060E. There doesn't seem to be a lot on this code, except that it might be an ECM problem. Has anyone experienced this code? This usually happens when I am in stop and go traffic and, more recently, at the drive through. Any help is appreciated.

I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 1.8L. I already tested the battery and that seems to be functional.

I had already started a thread on this just recently. Go to : Dashboard lights blinking for x-mas to find absolutely no answers at all, unless of course you just had a fuel injection cleaning service done recently. That was the excuse my technician gave me. After my codes were cleared, the lights have not returned. Apparently there is some buzz on the internet about these Corolla engines having the problem you and I experienced. I was hoping someone on here would have known something, but these boards are not as vibrant as they were years ago.

I just had this problem this morning. Got the VSC off, Check engine light, and the other light coming on.

Got P0607 which would suck. I cleared the codes and drove around for a few minutes and they have not returned yet. I really hope it's just a weather thing.

I get the P0607 code every year when the weather gets around 40 degrees and when we have heavy rain. I have no problems with the way the car runs, I just reset the code and wait for the temp to drop or the rains to start.

That's incredibly comforting to hear, thanks!
