Hi all, I'm currently changing the clutch on my 03 vibe and having a hell of a time doing it. Worse mistake of my diy life lol. Anyways I'm trying to pull the tranny now and can't get it to slide off the passenger side axle shaft. On the drivers side I got fed up and just separated it at the sleeve however I don't see doing that a 2nd time due to space to get the tranny out. Anyone have any tricks? These are the guides I'm using:

Oh, yes, that passenger side axle was a bit of a problem when I replaced the clutch in my 03. I remember pulling on it a lot until it finally came off. I think I hit the passenger side axle through the driver's side opening to work it loose a bit with a plastic screwdriver handle on the axle and hammer. Then I could not get the transmission installed back into place with the axle in the way, so I ended up disconnecting the strut from the steering knuckle and pulled the axle out of the way, then after I got the trans in place, stabbed the axle back into the trans. If I do it again, I will just disconnect both struts from the knuckles and pull the axles first, before I try removing the trans.

Good luck on it.
