I competed in my first SCCA rallycross event on September 5th. I placed 5th out of 9. I ran it in the MF(Modified Front) class. Which included full on stage rally cars and fully prepared rallycross vehicles.
If you would like to see some of the videos, let me know!
The Vibe held up extremely well! No damage what so ever, that's always a plus!
My next one is October 24th, I will be going up against a Matrix. It'll be exciting to see how that goes!
I will definitely shows some pictures from the next one!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the pics! It's nice to see such a wide range of autos out there competing and having a good time. Any more info/links on the actual rally, its location, etc?

Yes. This was done through SCCA (
https://www.scca.com/) in the Detroit region (
http://detroit-scca.org/e107/page.php?120. They have multiple regions for events, from rallycross, autocross, road rally(like the gumball), and track events. Feel free to check them out for your region!

Greetings! Cool to see a Vibe doing rallycross. I'd love to give rallycross a shot eventually, but my Vibe is too much of a pavement pounder to enjoy rallycross. I didn't know you were relatively near me. I'm just outside of Flint. Doug Gekiere, another member, has a Vibe he rally races in Rally America, and he isn't too far either. We're a little more active on the GenVibe Facebook page, so feel free to join and post up!

Yep! I've talked to Doug and Matt both at the Summer Sno* Drift. Funny enough, they both work at GM and I live right down the road from the GM. One day the rally Vibe drove past my house! Haha!

Nice rallycross videos! what kind of tires were you running in each surface? Also it looked like you didnt get too much understeer, do you have any modifications done, sway bars etc?

I was on all seasons for both. Modification wise, intake and exhaust. But I do have the whole interior stripped down to the metal. The car doesn't under steer hardly at all. But no sway bars or anything, stock suspension and everything!

That's sweet, i didn't know the vibe handled so good off road like that. A little over steer is good, looks like you can power slide it around turns pretty good
