Has anyone installed this?

looking for a remote start system for the winter. Its kind of pricey but I thought it would better integrate into the electrical system because it is OEM. Also it would be nice not to carry around another fob for the remote start.

It does look fairly complex, might need to get this done at a shop if I decide to go ahead and get this one.

Looking more into this, it appears the OEM system is crippled.

If you check the install sheet towards the bottom of the system tests, basically anything you do (Unlock, open door, use key to unlock, put key in ignition) will shut off the car. So you can remote start, but then always have to restart as you enter which is fairly ridiculous.
For the high price, an aftermarket system will not have that silliness, and will greatly upgrade the range of the remote.

Ah very good catch! Yeah you can get an aftermarket system that does more for a fraction of the price, definitely going that route. Bummer they designed the OEM system that way...

Yea, I would definitely steer clear of the OEM remote start. Aftermarket would be a much better choice.
