2009 Vibe AWD rattling at around 2000 RPM...

I have a 2009 AWD Vibe (78,500 miles) and has been a great car. But Since I have owned it I have noticed a slight rattling noise at or around 2000 RPM, especially going up a hill. Almost like it doesn't know what gear it wants to be in. So in order for me to stop the noise I either have to slow down or speed up so it shifts. Anyone experiencing this issue?

I also had the rear exhaust heat shield removed so it cannot be that. The sound comes from the front of the vehicle.

Check all the heat shields on the exhaust system. The heat shield over the exhaust manifold have all the mounts good? Are the shield mounting holes good and not rotted out? The exhaust flex pipe in good shape? Any signs of rubbing from exhaust or engine on body or frame? Hoses and other covers all secure and mounted with all bolts in place?

IT'S THE engine s-belt tensioner plastic skirt. Mine has done it forever until I replaced the tensioner. Then it came back 30k later. Nothing to worry about.
