Does anyone know how i can remove the clear lenses from my headlight and tail light assemblies? I want to paint the inside of them on my 2010. i read something about putting the whole assembly in the oven for 10 min at 200 deg. does this sound right to anyone? i obviously dont want to damage them. any info or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

From what I have read on here, the OEM headlight and taillight assemblies on the 2009-2010 Vibes are pretty much impossible to take apart without damaging. Your best bet would be to get aftermarket OEM replacement lights from a company like Depo on eBay. These assemblies are supposedly much easier to take apart without destroying.

Yes, you have to heat them substantially to soften the adhesive and then pry them apart.
Seems like a lot of work to accomplish something that is illegal and likely to get you ticketed. What is your fall back plan when that happens? The OE lights are federally regulated and you cannot legally obscure them in any way.

yep, you easy bake them
you'll want to make sure you remove all the wiring/adapters/foam and such
They come out hot as the burning bush, so real proper gloves are needed, and patience as you work the edges.
