Blasted kid broke the back winshield wiper. How to repair?

So one of my kids decided to wipe the dirt of my rear window by operating the wiper by hand. Somethings broken now, and it hangs vertically and won't operate. Anyone know how to repair this? Will I need to replace the wiper motor, or just part?

you probably need to take it apart to see what's broken. I would take the arm off and turn the wiper on. If the axle moves you know the motor is o.k. Inspect the splines on the axle and the arm to see if they have been stripped.

Is the kid still alive
Give us more info (year & trim) also post pics and location for us. Don't know if the mechanisms are the same for both generations of Vibes or not. Once we know what you have we can better help you. Welcome
