This is old news. This recall was back in February. Any Vibe built after March would have been corrected at the factory. Plus, it's been discussed before:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... read?id=58

Yep. I asked my dealer about the recall before I picked up my Vibe and he said if mine was one I would get a letter about it but that I shouldn't worry because mine was built after the recall was issued.

I just checked the build date and knew it was safe, but asked the dealer to confirm. Most of the time you will get your notification from the Manufacturer right when or very close to when it is publically announced.

Thanks guys. I knew that it only pertains to certain VIN's (learned from my Dodge Stratus recall) I was just wondering if anyone here had to do it

This was a inspection to check if the wheel hub bolts where tight. I think we had three Vibes to check and all of them was tight. Most inspection type recalls go this way, the ones that are ok, way out weigh the ones that we find need repaired.
