Is the tune in the TV spots ( the beat to which the hammers clang and the feet tap etc. ) an actual tune or is just a short riff for the commercial?

where are you all seeing these tv ads at??? i haven't seen a single one

The advertising for the Vibe has been POOR. Most people have never even heard of it. Pontiac needs to advertise much more frequently and create commercials that actually show off its key features (flat folding seats, hidden compartments, and exterior/interior styling). I also think that the general public needs to know that it's actually a Toyota under the skin. This car has amazing sales potential. All three Pontiac dealerships I haggled with back in June said that Pontiac was disappointed with the Vibe's sales figures. Two dealerships had 18 Vibes on the lot and one had 8 Vibes. The lack of advertising for this car reminds me of my '99 Cougar. I had never heard of that car until I saw it on the lot. And now it's canceled.

i agree with you about pep up the advertisements -- but i kinda like drivin around and having people come up to me and ask "WHAT IS THAT?" and being able to explain it and show off the features and hidden compartments. Everyont thinks its neat!!! and i love the attention!!!! if everyone had one -- i wouldn't be able to do that!!!!

Sorry that was kind of rude, I have been under a lot of stress driving a crappy old junker waiting for my Vibe There are zero cars to choose from on Canadian lots Pontiac should reconfigure their production and build more cars for Canadians because obviously this car is more popular in Canada. That is no suprise because Canadians like and buy more small cars. eg. the Civic is a top seller here, Accord in the U.S.

VIBE's in Detroit are selling pretty well . I am seeing more and more every day. I was hoping the car wouldn't catch on as fast as it his here because I love driving no one else drives. (call it a ego thing)

Yes, the advertising stinks. But I think it's because they can't even handle the production of the ordered cars. I remember when the PT Cruiser came out, sales were thru the roof and it took a year to se a billboard or commercial for it. I think they are keeping it to "word of mouth" until they can catch up with production.

Yes, I was told they had stopped advertising in Canada because of the huge back log of orders.

Did the matrix have more advertising than the vibe? The only matrix commercial i remember is the one where the guy is being chased and another where the woman asked if he likes the stereo. Before that i know there was one where i think it was a vibe just being parked and the only thing that was going on was just people starring at the car trying to figure out what it was and whats inside. After that there was one where a guy was playing his guitar from it and was showing to people that there's a house plug in it for stuff like that. And then they moved on to those what would you do if you had a pontiac vibe (I know there were three different comms for that ) Plus here they have ads on bus stop benches too.
