Selecting window tint

Looking at pre cut window tint kits for my 03'. What brand should I look for? I thought I remembered in the past 3m being what a lot of shops use. I'm going to attempt to tint the windows myself. Any tips as well?

Best tip I have is to spend the extra and have tint installed professionally.

Having had a previous owner's self installed tint removed and then new tint professionally applied, I can attest that there is a difference. And something to consider: if you mess it up there's nothing you can do but buy more and try again. If a shop does it you can always take it back if there's a problem.

Agree with Mark. Spend the extra coin and get it done right the first time.

The shop I went to had several brands and thicknesses. I chose the best/thickest lifetime guarantee type available. It was Viper brand.

I wasn't interested in doing it myself because I tried on other vehicles previously.

I'm sure I'll end up having it done somewhere. I'm hoping I can find somebody that does it on the side that won't charge as much. The shop in town here wants $200 to do it and I have a hard time spending that much on this car seeing as it's only my work commuter with hail damage and shitty repaired passenger side from a wreck by previous owner.

I'd do it for ya, but the commute would probably make it not worth it.
