Hey everyone I am new to the forum and the vibe, I just got mine about a week ago. I am looking to potentially lower it, maybe 2 inches or so. I was looking and I wasn't finding much in the way of springs or coil overs for the 09, and was wondering what you recommended or had on your cars. Thanks!

Because the 2009-2010 Vibe GT has IRS (Independent Rear Suspension), you can't use any of the lowering springs that are out there (which off the top of my head are only the TRD ones) for 2009-2010 Vibes / 2009-2014 Matrices. However, you can use lowering springs for 2003-2008 Vibes / Matrices.
Digglesworth lowered his 2009 Vibe GT with 2003-2008 Tein S-Techs.

Okay thanks for the info. So there are no issues with using the previous generation parts?

The second gen is largely a warmed-over first gen, so first gen springs will be fine. Another member has had his 09 GT on S-Techs for a while now, and he loves them.

I bought a set of Suspension Techniques progressive 1.2" lowering springs from Summit Racing, but never put on my 05.
Im buying a 09 GT and I just might put them on it.
