Rotated tires today. Noticed the bottom half of dust boots on front struts are full of rips.
Upper part of boot intact and still covers strut rod at standing ride height
I guess it comes from rubbing against the top of the shock body?
Thinking of how to make a wrap-around out of plastic sheet, to delay replacing boot.

It might be easier to rig something out of an old plastic beverage container of the correct diameter.. It already has the right shape. You just need to slit it up the side to fit around the strut rod. Drill a hole in the bottom before slitting it the size of the rod.
A couple of mine are ugly also. Maybe I should give it a try.

'Bout a 1 liter bottle should do it. Great idea!
